Welcome to What I Really Really Want ("we", "us", "our").

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, wishlist creation tools, payment features, contribution pages and related services.

By creating an account, publishing a wishlist, connecting payouts, making a contribution, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy & Cookies Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who We Are

What I Really Really Want is a UK-based online platform that allows individuals to create personalised wishlists and receive monetary gifts from friends, family and invited contributors.

We are not a charity, bank, lender, financial adviser, payment processor, trustee, escrow provider, fundraising regulator, or investment platform.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Bank and payout services are provided by Stripe and its banking partners, not by us.

2. What the Platform Does

Our platform allows:

wishlist creators to create, customise and share a personalised gift list;
contributors to send monetary gifts towards that wishlist;
contributors to leave messages or choose privacy options where available;
wishlist creators to connect Stripe payouts so money can be paid to their bank account.

We provide software that helps people organise and contribute towards gifts. We do not guarantee that any wishlist will receive contributions.

3. Accounts, Passwords & Security

You are responsible for keeping your login details, password, email account and device secure. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible.

We may ask you to verify your email address or take other security steps before you can publish a wishlist, edit a wishlist, connect payouts, or access account features.

4. Wishlist Creator Responsibilities

If you create a wishlist, you are responsible for:

making sure your wishlist information is accurate and not misleading;
only uploading images and content you have the right to use;
setting up your own Stripe payout account truthfully and accurately;
using any money you receive in a lawful way;
dealing directly and respectfully with friends, family or contributors if a dispute arises.

We do not control, monitor or guarantee how a wishlist creator uses money after it is paid out.

5. Contributor Responsibilities

Contributions are voluntary personal gifts. Before contributing, you should check that you are happy with the wishlist, the amount, any fees shown at checkout, and the person you are supporting.

A contribution is not an investment, loan, purchase of goods, charitable donation, tax-deductible gift, or Gift Aid donation.

6. Payments, Fees & Payouts

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card details.

The checkout may show a single total cost that includes the gift amount, card processing costs, service costs, platform support or other clearly disclosed fees. Where an information icon or breakdown is provided, it explains how that total is made up.

Fees may vary depending on the payment method, card type, currency, Stripe pricing, refunds, chargebacks, disputes or platform settings. The amount shown before payment is the amount the contributor authorises.

Wishlist creators must connect and maintain an eligible Stripe account before they can receive payouts. Payout timing depends on Stripe, the creator's bank, account verification, risk checks, holidays and payment method. We do not guarantee instant payout availability.

7. Refunds, Chargebacks & Disputes

Contributions are personal gifts between contributors and wishlist creators. If you want a refund, you should first contact the wishlist creator directly where possible.

We may help investigate obvious technical errors, duplicate payments, failed payment records or support requests, but we do not guarantee refunds once a contribution has been made.

If a payment is disputed, reversed, refunded or charged back, Stripe or the card network may deduct the relevant amount and any associated fees. This may affect the amount received by the wishlist creator.

8. Prohibited Use

You must not use the platform to:

break the law or encourage illegal activity;
commit fraud, mislead contributors, impersonate others, or hide your identity dishonestly;
raise money for weapons, drugs, harmful products, hate, harassment, exploitation or abuse;
upload unlawful, offensive, sexually explicit, abusive, defamatory or infringing content;
spam people or misuse invite, sharing or messaging features;
interfere with the security, availability or operation of the platform.

We may remove content, pause a wishlist, restrict features, suspend accounts, block payments, or cooperate with Stripe, banks, regulators or law enforcement where we reasonably believe this is needed.

9. Images, Messages & User Content

You keep ownership of content you upload, but you give us permission to host, display, process, resize, crop, moderate and share that content as needed to operate the platform.

You must only upload content you have the right to use. We may remove or disable content that appears unlawful, unsafe, infringing, misleading or inappropriate.

10. Advertising, Promotions & Commercial Opportunities

We may display advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links, brand partnerships, promotional material or commercial recommendations on the platform now or in the future.

Sponsored or paid promotional content should be identifiable as advertising or commercial content where required.

If you opt in to marketing, we may contact you about offers, promotions, partner opportunities, new features or other commercial opportunities. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

11. Availability & Changes

The platform may change over time. We may add, remove, test or alter features, designs, fees, payment options, payout steps, security checks or eligibility requirements.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Some features may be unavailable during maintenance, technical issues, provider outages or security reviews.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where the law does not allow it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

losses caused by Stripe, banks, card networks or third-party providers;
payment delays, payout delays, chargebacks, disputes or failed bank details;
how wishlist creators use money they receive;
loss of goodwill, reputation, profit, data or opportunity;
indirect or consequential losses;
content uploaded or shared by users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you mandatory rights elsewhere.
